1. What data we collect

Account data

Basic information such as your email address and display name when you sign up or sign in.

Third-party sign-in data

If you sign in with a Google or Apple account, we receive the basic personal information those services provide (such as your email address and name) to create and identify your account.

Order and group data

Groups you create or join, the drinks you choose, your customization options (sugar level, ice level, toppings) and related records.

Location and device information

With your permission, your approximate location (for finding nearby bubble tea shops), device identifiers, app version and usage statistics, to provide and improve the Service. The website's “Bubble Tea Nearby” feature only asks for your location after you tap the button; your exact location is only used inside your browser to calculate distances and is never sent to our servers. To load nearby stores, your browser downloads the store data file for the area you're in (a grid square of about 5 km); we do not use this to identify or track you.

2. How we use your data

• To provide and operate SipSpot's core features (accounts, group orders, store search).
• To verify your identity, keep your account secure and prevent abuse and fraud.
• To analyze usage so we can improve features, fix bugs and improve the experience.
• To provide personalized content or related promotional information, to the extent you have agreed.

3. Third-party services

To operate and improve the Service, we use third-party services, which may process some data under their own privacy policies:

• Third-party sign-in: Google and Apple account sign-in services, used for authentication.
• OpenStreetMap: Map tiles on the website are provided by OpenStreetMap. When a map loads, your browser requests images of the area you're viewing from its servers.
• Analytics (Google Analytics 4): This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how it is used (for example, which pages are visited and how many pages are viewed) so we can improve the Service. It uses cookies to collect de-identified statistical data, and we do not use it to identify individuals. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop this collection, or see the Google Privacy Policy.
• Advertising (Google AdSense / AdMob): The Service's website and app use advertising services provided by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to show personalized ads based on your visits to this site or other sites. You can go to Google Ad Settings to turn off personalized ads, or read Google's advertising technology policies to learn how Google uses data.

Please note—we never sell your personal data. Except to provide the services above, when required by law, or with your consent, we do not share data that identifies you with any other third party.

4. Data retention and security

We keep your personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, and take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. When data no longer needs to be kept, we delete or anonymize it.

5. Your rights and account deletion

You have the right to inquire about, view, copy, supplement or correct your personal data, or to ask us to stop collecting, processing or using it, or to delete it.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when features change or laws are amended. For significant changes, we will post a notice on this page or in the app. We recommend checking this policy from time to time for the latest version.
